Advanced Mystery Box parameters

For a seed-only URL, mb sets Mystery Boxes opened and gmb=1 marks the Book of Mysteries as already found. A real save is safer for multiplayer players and mastery-dependent Golden Mystery Box results.

How to use the Stardew Valley Mystery Box Predictor

Mystery Box results depend on seeded game data plus state that changes while you play. A save file is the most reliable input because it provides the host and farmhand counters instead of making the page assume that no boxes have been opened.

1

Load the full save

Select the main Stardew Valley save file. The predictor reads the game version, Game ID, each player’s Mystery Boxes opened counter, mastery status, and whether the Book of Mysteries has already appeared.

2

Open the Mystery Boxes tab

This focused page selects the Mystery Boxes tab automatically. In multiplayer, choose the player whose counter should define the current highlighted row.

3

Browse or search rewards

Browse twenty results at a time, jump by one hundred, or search the next 100, 200, 500, or 1000 boxes for an item name. Search is case-insensitive and supports the same result text shown in the table.

4

Open the correct box at Clint

Compare the standard, Golden, and mastery-enabled Golden columns. Opening any Mystery Box advances the cumulative counter, so confirm the row before processing a large stack.

worked example

Mystery Box prediction example

Suppose the host has already opened 37 boxes and wants a Stardrop Tea. After the save loads, row 38 is highlighted as the next result. Search for “Stardrop Tea” across the next 500 boxes, note the result number and box type, then keep the counter aligned while Clint opens earlier boxes. If a Golden Mystery Box result changes under Farming Mastery, use the mastery column that matches the player state.

Input: Save file, or ?id=42069&dp=180&mb=37&v=1.6.15
Output: Standard Mystery Box, Golden Mystery Box, and mastery-enabled Golden results by cumulative count
Best for: Target-item searches, Book of Mysteries planning, Golden box comparisons, and multiplayer counter checks
box types

Standard and Golden Mystery Box results

Both box types use the same cumulative opened count, but they do not share the same reward pool. Golden Mystery Boxes can also change when Farming Mastery is unlocked, so the predictor displays separate result columns rather than treating every box as interchangeable.

Mystery Box

The standard box reward column follows the current player counter and Book of Mysteries state. Use it when the box in your inventory is the ordinary blue Mystery Box.

Golden Mystery Box

Golden boxes use a different reward pool. Farming Mastery changes some rolls, so compare the normal Golden column with the mastery-enabled column before opening one.

What changes Mystery Box results

The opened count is cumulative

Standard and Golden Mystery Boxes advance the same player-specific counter. The next row changes after every box, regardless of which type Clint opens.

The Book of Mysteries changes later rolls

The chance of receiving the Book of Mysteries rises as more boxes are opened. Once the save records the book, later results use the post-book state instead of continuing to predict another first copy.

Farming Mastery affects Golden boxes

Golden Mystery Boxes have mastery-sensitive reward logic. The table keeps separate Golden columns so players can use the one that matches the selected character.

Multiplayer counters belong to players

Each player may have a different opened count. Select the correct farmhand or host before trusting the current-row highlight or planning a shared stack.

Version and mods can alter accuracy

Mystery Boxes are a Stardew Valley 1.6 system. Mods that change item data, reward pools, save fields, or Blacksmith processing can make the vanilla prediction differ from the game.

planning guide

When the Mystery Box predictor is useful

Use this tool when the order of rewards affects a real decision. It is not necessary for every box, but it can save time when you are chasing one rare reward, deciding whether to spend Golden boxes now, or coordinating counters in multiplayer.

Before opening a large stack

Search the next range first and record any valuable rows. Opening boxes without tracking the count can move a desired result past the box type you intended to use.

Before using Golden Mystery Boxes

Compare both Golden columns and verify Farming Mastery. A result that looks useful without mastery may be different for a player who already claimed the perk.

While hunting the Book of Mysteries

Load a current save so the predictor knows whether the book has already been obtained. Seed-only guesses can become misleading during a long search.

During multiplayer sessions

Decide which player will hand boxes to Clint, then keep using that player’s counter. Switching players can make the highlighted row appear wrong even when the seeded sequence is correct.

Stardew Valley Mystery Box Predictor FAQ

What does the Stardew Valley Mystery Box Predictor show?

It shows the ordered rewards for standard Mystery Boxes, Golden Mystery Boxes, and mastery-enabled Golden Mystery Boxes using the selected player’s cumulative opened count.

Is there a machine for opening Mystery Boxes in Stardew Valley?

Mystery Boxes are processed by Clint at the Blacksmith, like geodes. This predictor plans the reward order; it does not replace the in-game opening step.

Where can I find Mystery Boxes?

They can come from multiple Stardew Valley 1.6 activities after the system is unlocked. Acquisition is separate from reward order, so the predictor focuses on what the next box will contain.

What can appear in a Golden Mystery Box?

Golden Mystery Boxes use a broader high-value reward pool, and some results differ after Farming Mastery. Search the generated table for an item name to find its upcoming count.

Does daily luck change Mystery Box rewards?

The ordered Clint rewards are driven by the seeded Mystery Box logic and player state used by the predictor. Daily luck is not a substitute for the correct opened counter.

Why does the predictor need my save file?

The save provides the exact game version, player counters, mastery state, Book of Mysteries state, and multiplayer identities that a bare Game ID cannot fully describe.

Can I use the predictor for multiplayer?

Yes. Choose the player who will open the boxes and keep the counter aligned with that character. Host and farmhand counts can differ.

Can mods make the results wrong?

Yes. Mods that alter Mystery Box rewards, item data, Blacksmith behavior, save fields, or RNG logic can make vanilla predictions unreliable.
